Real People, Real Lives

15th October 2026
Phil Stewart, Chief Executive Officer of Dumfries and Galloway Citizens Advice Service

We are delighted to officially launch our Annual Report for 2025-26, demonstrating how we deliver a unique mix of advice and hope across our region.

The report not only looks at the headline figures delivered over the last year, but how the service has impacted on the lives of people across Dumfries and Galloway. Either by way of multiple routes to accessing the advice service, working and volunteering at Citizens Advice or by working in partnership with numerous local organisatons.

Phil Stewart, D&G CAS Chief Executive is proud of all the service has achieved in the last twelve months, “Reflecting on the year covered by the report, it is quite amazing just how much we have managed to fit into a single year. I couldn’t be more proud of how our staff and volunteers have responded to some quite significant challenges.

“We’ve taken great steps forward in extending our reach, taking our services out into communities where it is really needed. Not sitting back waiting for clients to come to us, but taking the fight against poverty out there into some quite remote parts of the region. We continue to develop new ways of accessing our services, although it is our face to face support that really sets us apart.

“For almost 90 years, the Citizens Advice Service has been the UK’s most trusted, respected and valued advice service. Clients come to us in times of need because they know they can trust us to give them the correct advice and support, which stands testament to the knowledge, passion and dedication of our staff and volunteers. This is abundantly evident throughout the report along with the work we do alongside partner organisations, which really demonstrates that D&G CAS is far more than just an advice service.”

The report can be read or downloaded below.
