Who Funds Us

Dumfries and Galloway Citizens Advice Service (DAGCAS) is a charity. Funding is gratefully received from a number of sources including:

Dumfries and Galloway Council

Citizens Advice Scotland

Scottish Legal Aid Board

The Scottish Government

As well as maintaining provision of advice for people across Dumfries and Galloway, this funding allows us to make a difference to their lives. In 2016/17, DAGCAS secured financial gains for service users of almost Β£7m. Over the same period, we advised 7,416 clients with 15,908 enquiries.

The majority of advice work is undertaken by our volunteers, who last year contributed nearly 18,000 hours of their time.
