Pay Attention to Employment Rights Toolkit
The information contained within this downloadable Toolkit is based on the most frequent enquiries that Citizens Advice – South of Scotland Employment Rights Advice Service (ERAS) has received from small business employers since the start of the project in January 2022.
This Toolkit is a guide for small business employers which is designed to quickly signpost them to credible and reliable sources of information. It provides a basic snapshot on a range of go to websites for free information and downloadable resources.
We believe that it is essential that small business Employers understand that employment legislation exists and applies to them, that they are aware of their
responsibilities towards their employees, and, their employees know their Employment Rights.
Problems at work can be stressful to deal with, many unpleasant situations can and should be avoided wherever possible.
Employment legislation provides the detail on the minimum rules which controls and governs the whole contract of employment. Employers have a duty to abide by employment law so that they meet their legal obligations to their employees and we hope these downloadable information sheets will prove to be useful in helping employers to meet their legal obligations.
