Our colleagues in Dumfries & Galloway Citizens Advice Service, Dumfries & Galloway Council and partner organisations have informed us about a private firm offering ‘no win – no fee’ assistance for Attendance Allowance applications. If the claim is awarded, the firm gets a one-off fee of £480 from the benefit claimant.

No doubt these firms will see an opportunity where local services are hard-pressed to keep up with demand, but Dumfries and Galloway Citizens Advice Service and partner organisations provide this service for free.
