Dumfries and Galloway Citizens Advice meets highest membership standards
6th July 2026
Dumfries and Galloway Citizens Advice Service (D&G CAS) has once again met the high standards required to renew their membership of Citizens Advice Scotland.
Citizens Advice Scotland fully audits member bureaux every three years. Only services which meet strict quality of advice and organisational standards are accredited and can operate as a Citizens Advice Bureau. These conditions and standards aim to ensure a bureau adheres to the principles of the Scottish Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux and provide clients with a complete, quality assured information, advice and support service, governed to the very highest standards.
D&G CAS CEO Phil Stewart said,” The achievement of our certification should not be taken for granted given the stringent standards we must achieve to meet the requirements of the audit to ensure quality and consistency of advice, maintain the highest of standards in terms of good governance and most of all to maintain trust, credibility and reputation with our clients, partners and funders. It is achieved through the tireless work and attention to detail delivered across the service every single day by our staff, volunteers and Board Members.”
The service offers advice to anyone on a wide range of issues and is free, confidential, impartial and independent. We are always looking to strengthen our corps of volunteers in a variety of roles including our Board of Directors. If you want to be part of an outstanding team that makes a real difference to people’s lives as well as further enrichening your own, then please get in touch.
