Celebrating our wonderful Volunteers
20th June 2025

Each year, Volunteers’ Week gives us the opportunity to celebrate our wonderful volunteers and show the world just how much they mean to us.
Our Stranraer Bureau was transformed into the Great Pottery Throw Down, thanks to a very enjoyable clay sculpture workshop from Accessible Art.
Our Stewartry volunteers from our Castle Douglas Outreach were joined by our CEO Phil Stewart and our Volunteer Development Officer Sonya for lunch at the Mill on the Fleet, followed by a walk around Cally Woods and our Dumfries volunteers received a gift box.
Volunteers at our Annan Bureau visited ‘The Emporium’ for a pottery session. Bureau Manager Brenda Waugh said, “each year, we try to do something a little bit different. The next step is to paint them!”
At D&G CAS, our volunteers are an inspiration, using their remarkable knowledge, skills and understanding to help people in their community. We owe them a huge thanks for all the hard work, time and commitment they contribute. We would be lost without them!
