Changes to our Wigtownshire Outreaches
25th March 2026
Although we constantly seek to remove barriers from accessing our services, especially in the more difficult to reach parts of our region, changes to our funding mean that we have had to regretfully reduce our outreaches in Wigtownshire.
Our outreaches at Southern Machars Practice in Whithorn, the Oak Tree Family Centre in Stranraer, the Mull of Galloway Practice in Drummore and at Wigtown Library will cease from the end of March.
Our clinics at Newton Stewart Library will move to a fortnightly basis, starting from Friday 17th April, 10am to 4pm and South Machars Community Centre, in Whithorn will remain as a monthly clinic, but on Thursdays beginning 30th April, 10am to 4pm.
We are working to find alternative sources of funding to sustain and increase face to face access to our services in The Machars and the Rhins of Galloway. We can also offer advice via telephone and by video appointments, please call us on 0300 303 4321 or use the contact form on our website https://www.dagcas.org/contact-us/contact-us/.
