We are looking for volunteers
8th July 2021 At Dumfries and Galloway Citizens Advice Service (DAGCAS), we are always on the lookout for new volunteers to help keep our service a thriving one. Full training is given, and there are roles beyond advice-giving, such as administration and social policy work.
Volunteering with us is profoundly rewarding. It can mean meeting and helping people going through a difficult time. ‘You can spend a lot of time with one client, a lot of meetings and letters,’ says one of our volunteers, ‘but when they leave for that final time, with things looking up…what a glow it gives you. You’ve turned a sad face around.’
