Impact of volunteering

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our CABs. Quite simply, there would be no service without them. Last year, volunteer advisers and others gave us nearly 18,000 hours of their time.

Who we are

Dumfries and Galloway Citizens Advice Service (DAGCAS) is an independent charity. DAGCAS provides free confidential advice and assistance to the public via its four Citizens Advice Bureaux, which are located in Annan, Castle Douglas, Dumfries and Stranraer

For those unable to attend any of our four Citizens Advice Bureaux (CAB), we run a number of Outreach advice clinics. They provide exactly the same type and standard of service as our CABs, and take place across the region:

Some of those using our services are referred by third parties or other agencies, such as GPs, local support agencies, charities or local and national government departments. If you are working with individuals who require our assistance please telephone 0300 303 4321 to discuss making a referral.
