Meet Lynne, our new Anti Poverty Advisers based in Annan.
31st August 2020
My name is Lynne Davis. I attended college in Dumfries and studied Graphic Design and Illustration, and still have a passion for design and interior design. In my spare time I like to spend time with my family, bake and walk my dog.
I have worked for Dumfries and Galloway Citizens Advice Service for over 17 years. I started off my journey in the organisation as an administration assistant on the Homeless Project. I then found a passion for advice work and started my adviser training, as I wanted to specialise in housing advice. I then secured a position as a Homelessness Advice Worker, and then moved onto being the Housing & Homelessness Team Leader. I then worked on a couple of temporary posts until most recently securing a position as a Financial Capability Adviser.
I have now been seconded onto our new Anti- Poverty Project, which will help people across Dumfries & Galloway address poverty issues. We will be able to look at benefit issues, appeal adverse benefit decisions, advice about debt situations, offer budgeting advice, advice in financial projects and bank account options, and give energy advice.
