Membership of Dumfries & Galloway Citizens Advice Service (DAGCAS) is open to the following:
• Any individual (if aged 18 or over) who lives or works in Dumfries and Galloway
• Any individual who is a member of the volunteer staff of the company.
An employee of DAGCAS shall not be eligible for Membership.
An individual eligible for membership who wishes to become a member, shall lodge with the company a written application for membership signed by him/her.
DAGCAS seeks to ensure a broad representation in its membership and to ensure that its membership reflects the communities it serves and that all sections of the community are represented. Membership is open to all regardless of colour, race, nationality, ethnic or national origins, gender, disability, age or sexuality.
We also seek to recruit as members, those with a particular interest in joining the Board of Directors to oversee the running of the organisation. To this end, we welcome applications from those with experience or interest in
• human resources and personnel
• stakeholder interests
• management in voluntary/advice/commercial sector
• finance and funding
• resource management
• quality standards and continuous improvement
Membership shall not be transferable and shall cease on death.
A Member shall cease to be a member if he/she ceases to be a resident or work in Dumfries & Galloway.
Any individual who wishes to withdraw from Membership shall lodge with the Company a written notice of retiral, signed by him/her. S/he shall cease to be a Member with effect from that time at which the notice is received by the Company.
