EU Citizens Support Scheme
9th August 2019Dumfries and Galloway Citizens Advice Service (DAGCAS) launches a new service to assist EU Citizens and their family members with the EU Settlement Scheme.
EU Citizens intending to remain in the UK after it leaves the EU will need to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme before the end of the transition period (June 2021 if there is a deal, December 2020 if there is no deal). With no registration after that date, they won’t be able to continue living, working or studying in the UK. Each eligible family member has to apply individually, including children.
DAGCAS dedicated advisers based in Dumfries and Stranraer provide face-to face support to individuals wishing to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme.
Staff are also available to deliver information and awareness sessions for staff in local organisations.
