Energy Advisers

We have vacancies for 2 part-time positions for Energy Advisers until 31st March 2024. These positions could also be considered for a full time role:-

  1. An Energy Adviser working 21 hours per week based in Annan, but delivering outreach at Lockerbie, Moffat and Langholm. Days of work to be arranged on appointment.
  2. An Energy Adviser working 14 hours per week based in either Dumfries, Stranraer or Annan office. Days of work to be arranged on appointment.

The successful candidate will learn to

Provide advice and practical support to clients to tackle fuel poverty.

Provide advice and practical support to clients to challenge fuel bills and where necessary negotiate repayments with the energy provider.

Deliver energy awareness raising group sessions to consumers and/or support workers in external agencies and bureau advisers.

Keep up to date with legislative changes and undertake appropriate training to maintain personal competence.

Adhere to the principles of the company and the uniform standards in case recording and correspondence.

Contribute to the overall efficiency of the organisation.

Carry out other duties as specified by the Manager and required by the exigencies of the post

  1. Part Time Energy Adviser

Hours:                 21 hrs per week

Contract:             31 March 2024

Location:             Flexible to be discussed with successful applicant

Salary:                SCQF Level 6 £25,384 – £26,357 per annum (pro rata)

Start Date:          asap

Hours:                 14 hrs per week

Contract:             31 March 2024

Salary:                SCQF Level 6 £25,384 – £26,357 per annum (pro rata)

Start Date:          asap

The Advisers will play a key role in the delivery of in-depth holistic and bespoke energy advice to those in or at risk of fuel poverty.
