When you enter one of our Citizens Advice Bureaux for the first time, you will be welcomed at reception and asked your name and postcode. Our volunteer advisers help a lot of people, so it is likely that you will have to wait to be seen.

An adviser will collect you and accompany you to a small interview room, where your issue can be heard confidentially. Having noted down details, the adviser may be able to offer preliminary advice, or may choose to refer you to a specialist adviser for your particular problem. A date for a future meeting can then be fixed.

It is extremely helpful, and will speed things up, if you are able to bring any paperwork relevant to the issue you wish to discuss when you first visit us.

Remember: our advice is free, confidential and non-judgemental. We are here to help everyone.
