Congratulations to Kieran in his new role as a Financial Capability Adviser and Anti-Poverty Adviser.
14th January 2021
“Hello, my name is Kieran and I have worked or DAGCAS for about 5 years now. I started off as an administration assistant in the Dumfries Bureau through the Community Jobs Scotland scheme before moving up to work closely with the debt team as admin and then going on to my current roles of Financial Capability adviser and Anti-Poverty adviser.
I enjoy working for DAGCAS because you are able to gain a wealth of knowledge from all staff that work there, but also are able to help people within the community. The staff that work for DAGCAS are also another reason as to why I enjoy working there as they are very friendly, hardworking, and are always willing to help.
As far as my background goes I have lived in Dumfries all my life and have went through primary and secondary school here. I also went to college at the Dumfries and Galloway College where I completed a HNC and HND in computing. Also before working for DAGCAS I worked at the local jobcentre doing work experience which involved helping clients with CVs and job searches. Finally, in my spare time I mostly play video games which is a hobby of mine, but I also enjoy spending time with my new puppy who is a recent addition to my family.”
