As Business Development Manager you will be part of the wider senior management team. You will work strategically to embed our values of:

Take responsibility for maintenance of resources, overseeing company finances and the compilation and presentation of complex financial information to senior management and Board of Directors. You will work closely with the CEO in reviewing and developing financial systems and procedures, budgets.
In line with the strategic direction of the Board of Directors, you will play a key role in identifying and attracting new funding streams to enhance service delivery and support the CEO to develop and maintain partnership and interagency relationships. You will oversee the development of an income generation strategy and explore alternative funding opportunities eg corporate support, trading, social enterprise. You will be involved in identifying opportunities to support the development or expansion of services across the region.
You will ensure Health & Safety policies and procedures are reviewed, updated and implemented in line with current legislative requirements. Ensure the close integration of the Finance and HR management functions in the maintenance of streamlined processes. You will have line management responsibility for staff and adhere to recognised company procedures in the support, supervision and training of staff and will contribute to the ongoing development of the company.
You will possess outstanding leadership skills, evidence of experience and/or qualifications at SCQF level 11, evidence of Continuous Professional Development, experience of Financial, Business and HR Management, experience of legal and governance responsibilities, understand strategy development and its effective implementation, understands markets and how to lead and manage change in responding to them. Understands the importance of leading an organisation to maintain its values and ethos, experience of funding applications and experienced manager at senior level all within the charitable or similar sector.
SCQF level 11 Salary £29,944.00 per annum pro rata
28 hours per week based in Dumfries
Duration: Funded until 31 December 2021 with extension on continuation of funding.
