As a Benefits Adviser you will be expected to work as part of a team providing welfare benefits and diagnostic advice in Dumfries bureau to maximise household income. You will work collaboratively with a variety of support agencies to encourage referrals and ensure individuals have access to timely advice, information and practical support. You will handle complex casework and from time to time provide ongoing support to volunteers recruited to the team.
If you have a combination of education and experience to SCQF Level 6, evidence of continuous professional development, relevant qualification would be useful, must possess and maintain expertise in relevant legislation, case law and codes of practice and minimum 2 years recent experience working within an advice environment.
SCQF level 6 Salary £23,175.00 pro rata
28 hours per week based in Dumfries
Duration: Funded until 31 March 2021 initially
